Melbourne is a high-pollen-count town. I’ve known quite a few people who have visited Melbourne and swore up and down that they don’t get hayfever despite wheezing through a blocked nose and aching sinuses. Pride keeps many from antihistamines that could save them a lot of suffering.

The enjoyment our dog Jersey gets out of belching is quite obvious – she’s a master at it and I would not be surprised if she kept track of particularly special burps.

I like how the first panel turned out, I was going for a real Barney Gumble release of wind. The trick is to get the eyes pointing in slightly different directions.

Apple have a long history of moving away from standard technology in the name of progress – they stopped including floppy disk drives and CD-ROM drives in their desktop computers long before anyone else. Their latest move – releasing the iPhone 7 without a standard headphone jack – is in keeping with this policy, but it sure has ticked some folks off. What Apple is referring to as ‘courage‘, others are calling ‘user-hostile and stupid‘.

At least they will sell a lot of headphone dongles.

Ziggy, the leatherback bearded drgaon

This comic strip is closely based on a true story, but doggies were not involved. My wife posted a picture of our bearded dragon, Ziggy, on Instagram. He’s a leatherback beardy, and undoubtedly due to the ‘leather’ in the post, she was liked and messaged by someone who runs a reptile leather-goods store, encouraging her to check out their wares!
